I enjoyed school and worked hard. My favourite subjects were English, Dance and Art.
I left with 7 GCSEs, achieving grades that I was happy with.
I went to Ludlow College and did 3 A-Levels in
Sociology (B) Psychology (A) and English Literature (B).
Whilst at college, I gained a Level 2 Swim England Swimming Teacher qualification and worked part time at Teme Leisure.
Last summer, I went to Camp Mystic, a girl’s camp, in Texas for 12 weeks. During my time working in America, I lived in a cabin with and had responsibility for up to 12 girls. I got to horse ride, swim, dance, play outdoor games, teach guitar lessons and do arts and crafts with the girls each day. I extended my stay by spending 3 days in New York. I chose to work at the girls’ camp to experience travelling and to gain some teaching experience before I start my teacher training course.
My time at the camp and the experience I gained, have made me so much more confident. It was a fantastic experience, so much so that I hope to return.
I joined Worcester University, and I am currently in my final year of a degree in Psychology. My next step is to do a PGCE, (teaching qualification), in Secondary school teaching and then to train to be an Educational Psychologist.
