In Year 9, I began volunteering with Ludlow 2nd Brownies every Tuesday for a period of 2 years. This taught me that I enjoyed working with, and supporting, young people.
As a Year 10 student, I completed my work experience placement at Ludlow Primary School and returned there for an extra few days at the end of the academic year.
After finishing my GCSE exams, I had an extra 5 weeks of holiday time, so I volunteered my time every day at Ludlow Primary School. I left school with 8 Grade 5 +GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Combined Science, Maths, Spanish, Geography, RE and Child Development.
I decided to attend Ludlow Sixth Form College, alongside continuing my work at the primary school, currently 8 hours. At the end of my first year, I returned to Ludlow School and volunteered for the last 6 weeks of term. This has broadened my experience of supporting young people and staff in Key Stages 2-4.
I am now in my second year at college, and I study A-level English Language, Spanish and Sociology. I have continued my work placements at both schools and in October 2025, I was offered a paid position at Ludlow Primary School.
